Solidarity missions #2

Under the EU’s European Solidarity Corps programme we applied to R3/2020 and received funding for the Solidarity Missions project, which was successfully implemented in 2021 despite the despite the difficulties brought by the COVID-19 pandemic. Solidarity Missions are solidarity actions that are initiated, planned and implemented by young people themselves and aim to influence even more young people, create a mindset and culture of solidarity in the younger generation, in the way young people think and in their daily lives. Through our solidarity missions we focus on poor and homeless people in Athens and Piraeus and on children with less opportunities who really need it and whose life has been very hard for them. In the solidarity missions we implemented we managed to achieve our goals and bring together more young people who participated in the action together with the project team. In solidarity missions #2 the project team will consist of the people who joined us during the project, while the old members will continue to provide support and participate in the project, while giving the reins of management to the to the new members. Our current project consists of two solidarity missions in collaboration with the Hadjikyriakio Foundation Child Protection Foundation in Piraeus, with which we will implement the action together, promoting even more the concept and value of solidarity. Our vision is to create a Fantastic Youth – Amazing Youth that will actively participate in the society and through solidarity will help our fellow citizens who really need it and that is why we continue with our solidarity missions #2 (2022-1-EL02-ESC30-SOL-000062152).
