The project “Marine Life for cultural heritage” (2022-1-EL02-KA152-YOU-000063385) is about nature and awareness through history and culture. It once covered one of the most important areas of the region of the Greater Peloponnese, but has now been drained and is under pressure from settlement. Nevertheless, the delta remains important place for migratory birds and is one of the most important nesting areas for the many species of migratory birds. The aim of our action is to clean up the wider beach area, to protect the animals that the beach, to become an example to be followed and to pass the message to the local community. community about the importance of the area and our duty to prevent its pollution in the future. To organise sporting and cultural activities to involve more people from the local community local and wider society to European values and to talk about the importance of the place through its history and culture. Through sporting activities, we want to revive the legend and history of one of the greatest Olympians of the region, Nicocles. Our goal is Cleaning the beach, spreading the importance of environmental awareness in every local community and through the group actions that will be carried out with the people of the area, to leave our mark that we are making a difference. The environment is the home of all people and does not belong to those who happen to live closer. The inclusion of young people in sporting activities and the interpretation of the essence of the concept of ‘not fighting’ is also our goal, including, to bring the participants closer to the history and culture of the historical region of Laconia by opening their minds, to develop the participants’ skills in transnational cooperation and language skills language skills, to introduce young people who are geographically marginalized from the mountainous region of Laconia and from purely agricultural areas and to integrate them into the values of cooperation in the European Union.
