Millennials, or young adults, are increasingly choosing to go camping for their vacations because they recognize the benefits it offers. One of the main reasons for this trend is the desire to escape the fast pace of modern life and live more simply for a while. Camping also gives people the chance to try something new and share beautiful photos of nature on social media. Additionally, improved connectivity through the internet and social media has made it easier for people to stay in touch with friends and family while camping, which has helped to ease any anxiety about the activity. After discussing with our partner organizations and identifying issues with a similar exchange program related to camping practices, we have created a proposal for a training program for youth workers from various organizations. The goal of this program “Let’s show the how it’s done” (2022-3-EL02-KA153-YOU-000096581) is to develop a manual on sustainability, recycling, and reducing the impact of humans on the environment during outdoor exchange programs. Through this project, we aim to increase awareness about environmental concerns and encourage participants to be more environmentally active in their daily lives. Ultimately, we all have a responsibility to contribute to the protection of the environment and work towards a more sustainable, aware, and safe future in our relationship with nature.
