About the project
The aim of the project EUROPE 2.0 (2022-3-EL02-KA154-YOU-000097446) was to train young people to give back to the community and implement projects for the good of the community, promoting European values and the ideals of youth participation and strengthening democracy.
We did these things in the most European way, training well the young people who would go to train young people today, just as the students who went to France returned to Romania with new ideas, the same phenomenon is used by Erasmus projects to consolidate ideas. We trained 30 young people who returned to their local regional and national communities with proposals they have developed at European level and transmitted to at least 150 young people directly through the activities that followed the ideas they learned from this project.
Project objectives
Digital Skills
Developed participants’s digital skills to support their effort in spreading the message.
Democracy
Participants learned the importance of democracy, what means European community and how to protect the European ideas of a free united world.
Inclusivity
People from all over the Europe came to the programme to learn about teamwork and build a strong community. We created an inclusive environment that encourages collaboration, networking, and cultural exchange.
How we did it?
Skill-Building Workshops
Participants engaged in interactive workshops focused on European citizenship skills, covering essential techniques. These sessions were hands-on, allowing participants to directly practice and refine each new skill.
Collaborative Projects
Working in teams, participants applied their skills by creating digital content on topics that mattered to them. This involved brainstorming ideas, developing and editing.
Cultural Exchange
Participants engaged in cultural nights to share traditions, went on group outings to explore the local area, and participated in team-building games designed to build trust and strengthen group dynamics.
Reflection and Evaluation
Each day ended with reflective sessions, where participants discussed their learning experiences.
The project results
We created a 3-pillar Erasmus project: preparing young people in the first part of the project with concepts about participation in society, political thinking and how societies work; drafting proposals for the development of the European Union from their own perspective as young people and presenting them in the second part of the project in Greece; and in the third part of the project was disseminating ideas and exchanging best practices in the community they come from, whether it is a local, regional or national community. The activities took place on three levels: Politics, European recognition and the development of European ideas. The activities prepared young people with a set of knowledge and skills to be able to formulate proposals for their participation in public life, to take part in debates supporting their own ideas and, finally, to make proposals for the development of the European Union. They presented them to the European Parliament and the European Commission and support them through lobbying. At the end, they returned to their communities and develop projects by disseminating the information gained from the project.
