AGRIDEV

About the project

Our project “Agridev” (2022-1-KA210-YOU-000083830) aimed  to bring together young people from different countries with common interests through non-formal education methods. It aimed to discuss about ecological issues in our regions and to subject young people to processes of re-enactment of rural cooperatives in order to have an active democratic role in the decision-making process. Also it aimed to reflect and raise awareness among young people about ecological and agricultural issues.

Project objectives

Raise Awareness

Participants learned how to enrich knowledge and promote rural entreprenership.

Learning by doing

Participants learned from practice about new techniques on rural activities.

Cultural exchange

Common rural and diet characteristics of the mediterranean countries that participated reflected the cultural commons.

How we did it?

We discuss alternative ways of organic farming

Young people will have the opportunity to learn and appreciate organic farming through the activities

Learn from everyone

We followed the methods learning from everyone in order to give young people the opportunity to see and participate in the whole process of oil extraction, while developing entrepreneurial and social skills.

Reflection and Evaluation

Each day ended with reflective sessions, where participants discussed their learning experiences, shared challenges, and celebrated successes.

The project results

Young people saw how the whole oil production process works, participated through non- formal education games, worked together and make their own oil. We promoted the rural lifestyle that is a tradition in the Laconia region and to exchange ideas with those in Italy who share similar problems. Conversely, we promoted and strengthened the European identity in the Laconia region. The young people in the project came into contact with young farmers working in the area and this had multiple benefits for society itself.
